Strategy and Policy Committee
Establishment and Composition
- Meet at least twice a year
- Membership: Chairman, Chief Executive, other members of MG ALBA who are not members of any other MG ALBA committee. Membership will include some of the representative members.
- A staff member will be the Secretary to the Committee.
Authority
The Committee is authorised by MG ALBA to develop high-level strategy and to devises, revise and recommend policies and practices that will enable the strategic goals to be realised. In addition to consideration of overarching strategic objectives, the Committee will also assess the principles that govern operational areas such as funding, projects, training, resources, outsourced services, consumer needs and stakeholder relations.
Duties
The remit of the Strategy and Policy Committee includes:
- determining and prioritising strategies that will enable MG ALBA to achieve its short and long-term aims
- ensuring that appropriate policies are prepared and that systems are in place for their implementation
- ensuring that an appropriate planning cycle is in place to facilitate strategic initiatives
- monitoring the effectiveness of strategic methodologies
Reporting
The staff shall circulate the minutes of the Committee to all members of MG ALBA.
