MG ALBA’s publication scheme makes the following classes of information available.

1. Who we are and what we do
This class consists of current organisational information, locations and contacts, and constitutional and legal governance.

    1.3 Legislation relevant to MG ALBA’s functions

2. What we spend and how we spend it
This class consists of financial information relating to projected and actual income and expenditure, tendering, procurement and contracts.

    2.5 Staff and board members’ allowances and expenses
    2.6 Pay and grading structures

This class comprises information about strategy and performance information, plans, assessments, inspections and reviews.

4. How we make decisions
This class consists of information relating to policy proposals and decisions, decision making processes, internal criteria and procedures, consultations.

    4.2 Reports and papers provided for consideration at senior-level meetings
    4.3 Internal communications guidance, criteria used for decision-making, internal instructions, manuals and guidelines e.g. submissions process, training grants, etc.

This class comprises information about current written protocols for delivering our functions and responsibilities.

    5.2 Policies and procedures for delivering our services

6 Lists and registers
This class comprises information held in registers required by law and other lists and registers relating to the functions of the authority.

    6.4 Register of gifts and hospitality provided to senior personnel
    6.5 Any register of interests kept in the department

7. The services we offer
This class consists of information relating to advice and guidance, booklets and leaflets, transactions and media releases and a description of the services offered.
    7.1 Information about the services the department provides including leaflets, guidance and newsletters.

    7.5 Services for which the organisation is entitled to recover a fee, together with those fees

Please note that the information published under this scheme will generally not include:
  • information the disclosure of which is prevented by law, or exempt under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, or is otherwise properly considered to be protected from disclosure;
  • information in draft form; or
  • information that is no longer readily available as it is contained in files that have been placed in archive storage, or is difficult to access for similar reasons.
