Gaelic Television Programmes
We have long term supply arrangements with production companies for a certain amount of our programme requirements. We also carry out Commissioning Rounds each year, full details of which are available. Our editorial team assesses all applications and chooses the best programme ideas for the target audience.
Individuals or organisations with programme ideas should apply under the terms of Commissioning Rounds. If you have a good idea but lack the means or expertise to make the programme you should speak to a production company to see if they will develop the idea with you. Unfortunately we cannot provide this service. Provided we have the consent of the companies in question we may be able to provide you with a list of companies who make Gaelic programmes.
Otherwise we will generally only consider speculative applications if they are time sensitive or represent a unique and unexpected opportunity.
