Recent contracts for Gaelic broadcasting

In the six months between April and September 2006, the Gaelic Media Service signed new production agreements with programme producers for 26 hours of television programming worth £1,036,528.

The distribution of contracts was as follows:

  • Independent Producers: £1,036,528

Eleven hours of programming were commissioned by BBC Scotland for broadcasting on BBC2.

Fifteen hours of programming were commissioned by GMS for broadcasting on the new digital service.
