INVERNESS CT V ROSS COUNTY – CHALLENGE CUP SEMI – FINAL LIVE ON TV
The SFL’s ALBA Challenge Cup semi final fixture that will see Inverness CT take on Ross County at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium this Sunday 4 October will be shown exclusively live on BBC ALBA.
Programme coverage will commence at 2.50pm with a kick-off time of 3pm. MG ALBA, the Gaelic Media Service is again this year’s title sponsor of the ALBA Challenge Cup.
The derby match will be the first game televised from this season’s competition as the teams vie for a place in the final. The other semi final fixture sees Dundee play Annan Athletic at Dens Park for a spot in the final which will also be broadcast live on BBC ALBA on Sunday 22 November.
Inverness CT players Nauris Bulvitis, Richie Foran and Dani Sanchez with the ALBA Challenge Cup.
The match between Inverness Caley Thistle and Ross County is likely to be a close affair, with both teams performing well in Division One. When the sides last met in August, league leaders Ross County ran out 3-1 winners, with the Staggies’ goals coming from Paul di Giacomo, Iain Vigurs and Richard Brittain and the Caley Thistle consolation from Jonny Hayes.
Ross County players Iain Vigurs and Garry Wood with the cup and manager Derek Adams.
The live coverage will complement BBC ALBA’s premier sports package which is being provided in association with mneTV to broadcast one Clydesdale Bank Premier League match every Saturday night.
