GAELIC PEPPA DVD’s NOW AVAILABLE
MG ALBA has announced that the popular animated BBC ALBA series, Peppa is now available for purchase on DVD. The series is currently showing on BBC ALBA and has created huge interest among Gaelic speakers looking for Gaelic versions of popular television programmes.

The Gaelic DVD is targeted at the pre-school age group and is the first in a number of BBC ALBA programmes which MG ALBA plans to issue over the coming months. Future releases for children will include Tom Tractar and The Gruffalo while Gaelic Learners will welcome the forthcoming issue of Series 1 and 2 of Speaking our Language.
Among the first to get his copy of the DVD was Daniel MacLeod (4) from Coll, Back who was presented with a complimentary copy by Michelle Morrison of MG ALBA who is co-ordinating the production of the DVD’s.
Featuring 10 different stories Peppa – An Iteileag ‘s sgeulachdan eile was originally produced by E1 Entertainment with the Gaelic version having been produced for BBC ALBA by Sorbier Productions. Priced £10, Peppa will be available through a number of outlets throughout Scotland including the Wee W store and An Lanntair Arts Centre in Stornoway, Sabhal Mòr Ostaig on the Isle of Skye and the Gaelic Books Council in Glasgow.
