FOOD FOR THOUGHT WITH TONY KEARNEY ON BBC ALBA
A new food series for BBC ALBA, presented by Tony Kearney, ‘Blasad’ / ‘Taster’ will wet the appetite, as two guests choose a favourite meal which will provide inspiration to share personal details about their relationship with food.
From childhood memories to international travel, cooking tales and day-to-day dining, selected Gaels consider food and what it means to them, as they enjoy their specially prepared meal in Tony’s company.
‘Foodie’ guests across the series include the hugely popular musician Fergie MacDonald; former television presenter Rhoda MacDonald of “Speaking Our Language” fame; Na h-Òganaich singing star Margaret Macleod and Tommy MacAskill, a well-known voice to listeners of Radio nan Gàidheal. Tommy has lived in London, arguably the food capital of the world, for forty years and brings fascinating recollections to Tony’s table.

Filmed in a specially designed dining room set, against a stunning backdrop of the River Clyde, ‘Blasad’ celebrates good food, and warm, witty company introduced by the perfect host.
‘Blasad’ / ‘Taster’, produced by Glasgow based independent Sorbier Productions and directed by Michael Prince, will be broadcast weekly on BBC ALBA starting Thursday 8 April at 8.30pm.
