KENNY MILLER AND MARC-ANTOINE FORTUNÉ SPEAK EXCLUSIVELY ON BBC ALBA’S ‘CLUB TV’
BBC ALBA’s monthly CLUB TV, which sees Celtic FC and Rangers FC come together for a unique magazine style football programme, continues this week with exclusive interviews with first team players Kenny Miller of Rangers and Marc-Antoine Fortuné of Celtic.
The programme will be broadcast tomorrow night (Wednesday 24 March) at 9pm and will provide exclusive interviews with the respective club management plus key players from the first teams and youth development.
CLUB TV is presented by former club players Tom Boyd and Arthur Numan, along with Gaelic sports anchor Calum Macaulay.
In the latest programme, Rangers assistant manager Ally McCoist talks about learning under Walter Smith, his own hopes of eventually stepping into the Ibrox hotseat as manager as well as his thoughts on speculation regarding the possible takeover of the club.
Also speaking to CLUB TV is Rangers’ cup final hero Kenny Miller, who chats about his prolific partnership with fellow striker Kris Boyd and discusses his performances which he hopes will win over the Rangers supporters who were sceptical about him following his year with rivals Celtic.
Kirk Broadfoot provides a light-hearted look behind the Rangers dressing room door whilst the programme follows a group of Rangers fans as they embark on the first ever ‘Founders Trail’, visiting Glasgow sites of importance in the history of the Ibrox club.
Over at Celtic, manager Tony Mowbray talks of the leadership within the Parkhead dressing room and his expectation that key players will stand up and be counted in the remainder of the season. The Celtic boss also underlines the importance of the Scottish Cup to the club’s current campaign.
Hoops striker Marc-Antoine Fortuné also chats about how well he has settled into life in Glasgow, and his hopes that this will result in Celtic supporters seeing the best of him on the pitch, whilst young defender Josh Thompson discusses the best moments of his fledgling career so far.
Also featured on the show are highlights from the recent under 19s Old Firm clash at Barrowfield as well as interviews with key figures from both sides – Rangers hitman Kane Hemmings and Celtic under-19s captain Matthew Hughes. CLUB TV also checks on the progress of the ladies teams at the two clubs, with footage from their opening games of the season as well as a chat with new Rangers Ladies coach, Scott Allison and Celtic Ladies manager, Robert Docherty.
CLUB TV is produced for BBC ALBA by mneTV. This week’s programme is being broadcast on Wednesday 24th March at 9pm and repeated on Thursday 25th at 10.30pm.
