COUNTRY MUSIC RETURNS TO BBC ALBA WITH EXCLUSIVE COVERAGE FROM THE KELSO COUNTRY AND WESTERN MUSIC FESTIVAL
Country music fans will be able to tune in to performances from acclaimed music artists, as BBC ALBA brings viewers the best of the action from this year’s Kelso Country and Western music festival.

BBC ALBA is delighted to cover the fourth annual Kelso Country and Western music festival as part of its Ceòl Country series which has been produced for the channel by mneTV.
Ceòl Country from Kelso will commence on Tuesday 11 October at 9pm with weekly hour long programmes being broadcast on Tuesday 25 October and Tuesday 1 November, with repeats each following Sunday at 9pm.
The festival continued to gain world-wide support this year due to the range of national and international country music stars that performed at the event.
Programme presenter, Anne Morrison will bring viewers musical highlights from this year’s performances throughout the three dedicated Kelso music festival programmes in the Ceòl Country series.

Among the artists showcased at the festival are leading British acts such as Henry Smith and Country Dreams, Shooter, Jacki Hudson, Raising Cain, Jim Clarke and the Haley Sisters.
In addition to the live music, Anne enjoys an exclusive acoustic performance from the Haley Sisters, whilst festival compere Dave Cash explains what makes a good MC. Anne also spends a day with singer Chris Raddings, who was original from Leeds bur currently hails from Harrogate, to finding out more about his work as a music therapist.
