BBC ALBA’S AS-LIVE SPL COVERAGE CONTINUES WITH DUNDEE UNITED V HIBERNIAN
Scottish Premier League - Dundee Utd V Hibernian
BBC ALBA – Saturday 30 October 20:00
Football fans will this weekend get the chance to watch exclusive ‘as-live’ coverage of Dundee United V Hibernian as BBC ALBA continues its coverage of the 2010/2011 SPL season.
Saturday’s game at Tannadice will be broadcast at 8.00pm on BBC ALBA, which is available on Sky channel 168 and on Freesat channel 110. The games broadcast on BBC ALBA are matches that are not covered live by either Sky Sports or ESPN.
Dundee United had the superior record in fixtures between the sides last season after two wins, one draw and one defeat in their four SPL clashes.
However, Hibernian ran out 2-0 winners in their last clash in May, with a double from Hibs striker Colin Nish ensuring the Leith side took the full three points.
As well as full match coverage of this Saturday’s game, the team will also speak to new Hibs manager Colin Calderwood. The 45 year old explains what attracted him to the Easter Road job, what he expects from his players and how he hopes to bring success to the Edinburgh club.
In this week’s Q+A we catch up with Dundee United winger Craig Conway, and there will be an extended look behind the scenes at the Dundee United youth set-up. We hear from youth director Stevie Campbell who tells us of the success they have had and he provides his thoughts on the emerging stars of the future.
BBC ALBA is providing a premier sports package in association with mneTV covering one Clydesdale Bank Premier League match every Saturday night over the next two seasons. The programme will be hosted by Calum MacAulay.
BBC ALBA is a partnership service between MG ALBA and BBC Scotland which will deliver high quality, distinctive home-produced programming.
