BBC ALBA’S AS-LIVE SPL COVERAGE CONTINUES WITH HIBERNIAN V HAMILTON
Football fans will this weekend get the chance to watch exclusive ‘as-live’ coverage of Hibernian v Hamilton Academical as BBC ALBA continues its coverage of the new SPL season.

Saturday’s game at Easter Road will be broadcast at 5.30pm on BBC ALBA, which is available on Sky channel 168 and on Freesat channel 110. The games broadcast on BBC ALBA will be matches that are not covered live by either Sky Sports or ESPN.
Last season, Hamilton had the upper hand in fixtures between the sides after two wins and one defeat in their three SPL clashes.
Their last match in April saw Accies triumph in a comprehensive 4-1 win. Simon Mensing put Hamilton ahead from the penalty spot before Hibs striker Colin Nish levelled close to half-time. Another penalty from Mensing restored Accies lead in the second-half, before a Joel Thomas double secured three points for the New Douglas Park side.
As well as full match coverage of Saturday’s game, BBC ALBA will also have an exclusive interview with Hibs manager John Hughes, who talks us through the season far and what he hopes to achieve with his team this season.
In this week’s Q+A we catch up with Hamilton manager Billy Reid, whilst the team also go behind the scenes to look at Accies’ successful youth set-up, which has produced players such as James McCarthy, James McArthur and Brian Easton, all of whom have gone on to play in the English Premier League.
BBC ALBA is providing a premier sports package in association with mneTV covering one Clydesdale Bank Premier League match every Saturday night over the next two seasons, at the earlier broadcast time of 5.30pm. The programme will be hosted by Calum MacAulay.
BBC ALBA is a partnership service between MG ALBA and BBC Scotland which will deliver high quality, distinctive home-produced programming.
