This season’s exclusive live coverage of shinty on BBC ALBA will culminate on Saturday, 31 July with coverage of the Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup Final from The Eilan, Newtonmore.
The final will see Glenurquhart take on Lovat in the local derby which will be televised live on BBC ALBA, with a throw-up time scheduled for 4.00pm. BBC ALBA is available on Sky channel 168 and on Freesat channel 110.
Half time features will include an in depth interview with Scotland shinty manager Drew McNeil, a catch up with Kilmallie Shinty Club the other team from Fort William, as well the legend Ronald Ross taking viewers through more skills of the sport.
Hugh Dan MacLennan, sports broadcaster and former shinty player, will be commentating on the match live for BBC ALBA alongside sports writer and broadcaster Alex O’ Henley.
